Each authorized hatchery is assigned an approval number and the hygiene and operation measures of the company should be implemented thoroughly.
This starts from the production and collection of eggs in the poultry chamber and ends with the disposal of day-old chicks in poultry breeding or poultry farms.
They are then transported to the hatchery where they are placed in the fumigation chamber for disinfection.
Before the eggs are placed in hatching machines, they are preceded by washing and disinfecting them automatically with experts machines.
Disinfection should be applied to the eggs between their arrival and start of the hatching, process to the hatching machines, as well as to the equipment after each hatch.
Hatcheries must comply with the requirements of Regulation (EC) No 1774/2002 which describe the health rules concerning animal by-products not intended for human consumption.
